R2R is currently accepting submissions of short and feature-length films for the 16th annual Reel 2 Real International Film Festival, taking place April 4-11, 2014,

The Reel 2 Real (R2R) International film Festival for Youth is an annual, competitive, international event presented by Reel to Real: A Celebration of Moving Images for Youth Society, a non-profit media arts and education society dedicated to showing the best in culturally diverse, authentic programming for children and youth.

Please use this form to submit an original work of film or video (“Entry”) for consideration by R2R. The person completing this form (“Entrant”) warrants that he/she has read and understood these Guidelines and Regulations, holds all necessary rights with respect to the usages granted to R2R herein, and is authorized to grant and does hereby grant said rights to R2R.

R2R seeks films that are imaginative, evocative, innovative, inspiring and entertaining. We will accept feature-length dramas, shorts, documentaries, and animated films and videos. To be eligible for inclusion in the R2R competitive program, Entries must be completed no earlier than January 1, 2012.

Foreign language entries must be subtitled or dubbed in English.

Entries must be submitted on DVD accompanied by a completed entry form and entry fee.

Youth Juries and an Adult Jury select winning films.  Awards will be presented at the R2R Awards Ceremony.

The entry fee for submissions is US $30 (films 60 minutes or longer) or $25 (films less than 60 minutes). It is payable by cheque and must be submitted with the entry form. There is no submission fee for Canadian entries. A separate form and entry fee is required for each entry.

The Festival will inform all Entrants no later than January 17, 2014 whether their submission has been accepted. At that time, the primary contact person will receive the 2014 shipment information. Entries will NOT be returned and will become the property of R2R.

Entrant is responsible for shipping the film print or projection video to R2R, including payment of shipping, insurance and customs fees, unless other arrangements have been made. R2R is responsible for the return shipping. Please include return mailing labels and make sure all containers are properly labeled.

Entrant hereby grants R2R the right to use all or part of the Entry in any medium for promotional purposes; to use stills, biographical material, names and likenesses from the Entry for promotional purposes; to provide DVD copies of the Entry to journalists for review; to show the Entry at press screenings; and to exhibit the Entry one or multiple times during the R2R 2014 festival. R2R will use our best efforts to ensure correct title and credits are listed on festival materials but shall not be held liable for inadvertent errors and omissions.
