The Boy Who Looks for Gold

Directed by: Norbert Lechner

There is an uneasy peace in post-war Germany, and old rivalries simmer beneath the surface. Eleven-year-old Toni lives with his mother in a small village by the river, in the "gold washer's house." Like his grandfather, Toni loves searching for gold, but old hostilities continue to simmer between families, and a conflict grows between Toni and the other village children.
